This weekend, as we celebrate Palm Sunday, we will take a look at how determined Jesus was to do His Father’s will all the way to the cross. What do you do after Hurricane Lane passes? You go to church! On Sunday we have a great message for you given by dynamic speaker and author Dr. Brenda Salter McNeil. She delivers a powerful message and has a unique take on the interaction between Jesus and the Samaritan woman at the well. It’s a challenging message on how we should truly love our neighbors as ourselves. Like you, we've been tracking the latest updates about Hurricane Lane. Our heart and concern is always for the safety and welfare of our congregation, Dream Team, and staff. That's why we have decided to cancel The Crew (JR High ministry) tonight and the Men's Grill Night tomorrow night. Our Anchor Church office will also be closed tomorrow and Friday. Since the exact impact of the storm on our island is still unclear at this time, we feel that it is in the best interest of our Anchor Church family to CANCEL our regular Friday night service as well. Please join us on Sunday for our usual service times. We’ll keep you posted with further updates, so stay tuned and help us spread the word to your family and friends. Stay safe and join us in praying big prayers for God to protect our entire state.

There have been so many incredible stories of how God is working in our lives through Anchor Church. For Daniella, before she came to Anchor her relationship with God wasn’t that great and she had a desire for more. A friend bought to church and from the beginning God filled her up and gave her a desire to be with Him. Daniella says, “Because of Anchor Church, my relationship with God as grown…God has shown me so much just through the church itself.” Some of you may have prayed and believe that God has called you to commit to Make Room for More, but you were not able to join us on Commitment Weekend last weekend to turn in your commitment card. That’s totally okay too. It’s not too late! We’re so excited about this season of building, expanding, and increase at Anchor Church, and this weekend is a very special weekend as it is Commitment Weekend. We've all been praying and listening to God for His heart in how we can be involved in making room for more, and this weekend we get to come together and commit to God how He sees us involved in making sure that Make Room for More comes to completion in three years.
